 Railway Station at Shimla
Dear Shimla Travelers,
There is not any main railway station at Shimla but a nearest broad gauge station is at Kalka. Which is approximately 95 kms from Shimla and well connected to Shimla. The mountain train( toy train) from Kalka to Shimla runs there.

 Kalka-Shimla Railway Station
Hi Himachal Journeyer,
Kalka is a narrow gauge railway in North-West India which is nearest from Shimla. Many peoples have come in Shimla from there. From there you can hire a taxi to Shimla.

Train for Shimla in Himachal
Hi Dears,
Yes, Shimla has not any platforms but nearly Kalka has. Shimla- Kalka has a Meter Gauge and it takes around 5-6 Hrs from KALKA to reach SHIMLA.  There are 3-4 trains daily getting journey from Kalka to Shimla and vice-versa.

 Toy Train Journey in Shimla
All My Friends,
The narrow gauge Toy train from Kalka to Shimla passes through more than 100 tunnels providing breathtaking views of the surroundings nature's. The narrow gauge toy train takes approx 5-6 hours to reach Shimla Railway station.

Hi Shimla Touring Planners,
You can go Shimla by train but only Kalka railway station because the railway line has not laid at Shimla still.  Alternately after reach Kalka you can hire a taxi to reach Shimla from Kalka. You will enjoy train journey in Kalka.
